Your Appointment

Referral by your GP is not necessary; communication with them may be
helpful but will only be done with your consent.

The first visit is to find out about you.

Detailed questions will be asked about your current illness, past medical history, eating habits and lifestyle. Stress levels and biomechanical factors are taken into account. For the purpose of Naturopathic and Osteopathic examination, you will normally be asked to remove some of your clothes in order to assess tissue health. Gentle pressure may be used not to irritate sensitive tissues but to identify areas of discomfort or weakness. Naturopathic Osteopaths use various ways to assess your health - elimination diets, laboratory tests, cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and abdominal examinations. These help discover why you are ill and how you can get better. Following a full evaluation and diagnosis of your condition, treatment or advice will commence in order to give you some symptomatic relief. A proposed plan to improve your quality of life will be discussed including recommendation for further investigations, if appropriate. A subsequent appointment will be suggested if required.

Please contact the Clinic if are unsure whether treatment is suitable for you and mention when booking if you have any special needs.
